WHAT WE DO

Innovative and Engaging Speech & Drama

Classes develop communication, confidence, creativity, teamwork and performance skills through drama games, improvisation, storytelling, poetry and short scenes.Every child is met where they are, from the quietly shy to the naturally theatrical.

Sessions are led by a qualified Drama teacher with over ten years' international classroom experience, in a warm, supportive, structured environment.

Optional Festival Opportunities and Showcases

Students can perform beyond the classroom through local Speech & Drama festivals and our own performance showcases.
These optional experiences allow students to work towards a performance goal, develop and polish individual or group pieces, and experience the excitement of sharing their work with a live audience.
Whether performing competitively at a festival or taking part in a relaxed showcase for family and friends, the focus remains on building confidence, resilience, creativity and stage experience, while giving students the chance to celebrate their progress and take pride in what they have achieved.

Optional Speech & Drama Exams

Students have the opportunity to take part in the inaugural year of The Lir Academy’s new Speech & Drama examinations.
Developed by The Lir Academy — the National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin — this innovative new syllabus offers a modern alternative to traditional Speech & Drama examinations, placing creativity, confidence, critical thinking and authentic performance at the heart of assessment.
Exams are entirely optional and provide students with a structured pathway to recognise their progress while continuing to develop as confident, creative performers.
